Protection Plans
You Could Save!
Do you wonder if vehicle protection programs, like extended warranty or GAP plans, are worth it? Just ask the lnterra members who received $125,000 in Allied Insurance benefits last year.
Sometimes, you may owe more on a vehicle than what it's valued, in the event it's considered a total loss or is stolen. With GAP coverage, the loan is paid off on your behalf. In 2017, members who benefited from GAP saved $40,000.
An extended warranty, or Mechanical Breakdown Protection (MBP), helps keep your car on the road. It covers big ticket repair items, like the engine or transmission, and much more. Members saved $85,000 last year in repair or replacement costs.
If you currently have a vehicle loan at lnterra, without GAP or MBP protection, call us or visit any office to discuss your options. When it comes time to finance your next vehicle, make sure to consider a protection plan...and your peace of mind.

Correct Account Numbers Essential for Tax Refunds
To ensure a timely deposit of your tax refund deposits, it's essential that you provide your account numbers in an accurate form.
The IRS does not list Social Security numbers or other member identification with tax refund direct deposits. The deposits are returned to the IRS if credit union personnel are unable to identify the recipient account. The IRS will then mail a paper check, which may result in a delayed refund.
Deposit to your checking account:
- The routing number is the nine-digit number found in the lower left-hand corner of your check, 271291017.
- Your account number is the next set of ten numbers on the bottom of your check.
Deposit to your savings account. If you elect to have your refund deposited to a savings account, you will be asked to provide the routing number, 271291017. Then, list your savings account number with no hyphens and no spaces.

Hometown Giving 2017
Your generous monetary donations and wish list gifts helped lnterra Credit Union donate more than $40,000 to benefit 33 agencies, who in turn help those in need, during the 24th annual Hometown Giving Christmas project. That's an increase of more than $10,000 from last year! Added to monetary donations were the literally hundreds of items members and lnterra staff donated from Giving Tree wish lists.
lnterra's corporate donation was $25,000 and you, our valued members, contributed almost $4,000 in the Merry Match donation jars. lnterra employees participated in a variety of in-house fundraisers during the holidays to support the project, too. The total raised by the staff in 2017 was nearly $10,000. In addition, the credit union donated staff time to ring bells for the Salvation Army over a two-day period, merrymatch raising more than $1,500.
lnterra employees volunteered at Soup of Success to kick off the service project. With your help, we hosted parties for kids and adopted families, too.

lnterra Elections Next Month
As a benefit of membership, lnterra Credit Union members will have the opportunity to vote for board and supervisory committee candidates next month.
The slate of candidates will be announced in the March issue of the lntouch member newsletter.
Members will have the opportunity to review the candidate profiles in the newsletter, online at interracu.com and at all lnterra offices. The election will be conducted from March 12-26, via online and phone voting.
The 86th lnterra Annual Meeting will be held Monday, March 26, beginning at 5:30 pm, at the lnterra main office in Goshen.
